EU FaBiMed Project to Improve Custom Device Manufacturing

Two Irish devicemakers are the latest to be selected for FaBiMed, an EU-funded pilot project to develop new cost-effective, flexible manufacturing techniques for patient-specific microdevices. There is a growing need for such devices in point-of-care diagnosis, advanced therapies and other applications, said Pablo Romero of the nonprofit association Aimen, which is coordinating the project.
