FDA Finalizes Heparin Guidance for Drug- and Devicemakers

The FDA renewed its call for companies that use crude heparin to make drugs or heparin components for medical devices to test each incoming shipment for species origin and contaminants and offered up test methods as part of finalized guidance on the subject.
