Plan to Harmonize Laser Regs Is Costly, but Necessary, FDA Says

Product and packaging redesigns stipulated in a proposed amendment to the FDA’s laser performance standard could cost industry up to $33.4 million, but are needed to bring the agency’s regulations in line with global standards, a Tuesday Federal Register notice says.
