Bipartisan Bill Would Protect Future FDA User Fees From Sequester

A bipartisan group of lawmakers introduced a bill Thursday that would shield FDA user fees from sequestration, but would not retroactively apply to fees already lost under the massive budget cuts. Lawmakers sponsoring the FDA Safety Over Sequestration Act noted that the intent of the law is to protect private funding collected to improve the FDA’s regulatory process.
