ResMed Spurs ITC Investigation Against Alleged Patent Violation

July 31, 2013
San Diego-based ResMed is once again striking out against alleged patent infringers via the International Trade Commission. On July 19, the company asked the ITC to block U.S. marketing of sleep apnea treatment devices made and distributed by Chinese devicemaker BMC Medical and its U.S.-based subsidiary 3B Products. This comes just days after an ITC administrative law judge ruled that continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines marketed by Apex Medical and its U.S. distributor, Medical Depot, should be excluded from the U.S. market because they violate ResMed patents.
