CHMP Thumbs Up for 11 New Drugs

Eleven new medicines have been recommended for approval in Europe, including two new cancer drugs: Roche's Kadcyla and Bayer's Xofigo. Kadcyla is the first antibody-drug conjugate for advanced HER2-positive breast cancer, and is under review as a single agent for the treatment of adults with  unresectable locally advanced or metastatic disease, who have previously received trastuzumab and/or a taxane.
