Histadrut Chief and Teva Boss Agree to Negotiations on Planned Layoffs

After Teva announced plans to lay off 5,000 employees around the globe, the Israeli Histadrut labor federation got involved. The end result? Teva agreed to freeze layoffs of its Israeli employees until such a time as an agreement between the drugmaker and organized labor can be achieved.
