China Updates Penalty, Inspection Regs in Wake of Pharma Industry Probe

The China Food and Drug Administration is asking the public to comment on proposed revisions to its regulations and penalties related to inspections and investigations, an apparent response to the ongoing bribery scandal that has rocked the pharmaceutical industry. The draft Administrative Penalties of Drug Supervision, released last month, doesn’t single out foreign or domestic manufacturers.
