Quest Completes Acquisition of Summit Health

Quest Diagnostics said Monday it has completed its acquisition of Summit Health, giving the Madison, N.J., company access to new on-site prevention and wellness services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed

The new business — Quest Diagnostics Health and Wellness Services — combines Summit’s nurses, event staffing, immunizations and seminars with Quest’s 2,200 patient centers, biometric analysis, mobile phlebotomists and electronic personal and population reports.

The company will add service extensions to direct-to-employer and private-label offerings, according to Quest, with Summit’s contribution mainly representing private-label services for health plans and health-improvement companies to resell to clients.

Novi, Mich.-based Summit has a large U.S. network of nurses staffing on-site wellness programs that offer biometric screenings, immunizations, seminars and coaching. — Lena Freund
