Technology Platform Validic Acquires Infometers

July 9, 2014

Durham, N.C.-based healthcare data and cloud-based platform company Validic said Tuesday it is acquiring Infometers, a Silicon Valley company specializing in connecting remote healthcare monitoring devices to the healthcare system.

The move will expand Validic’s digital health ecosystem with 44 percent more device integrations, providing its client base — hospitals, doctors, payers, pharma and wellness companies — with broader access to clinical and in-home device patient data and digital health technologies, the company said.

The deal also adds to Validic’s future capabilities for new integrations, such as connecting through application programming interfaces and software development kits to pull patient data directly from a device. This enables the delivery of data from devices that monitor patients remotely, the company said.

Validic did not disclose the terms of the deal, which has officially closed. — Kellen Owings
