Teleflex Cleared to Market Arrow-Clark VectorFlow Catheter

July 23, 2014

Teleflex said Tuesday it has cleared the FDA’s 510(k) hurdle to market its Arrow-Clark VectorFlow chronic hemodialysis catheter in the U.S.

The catheter features a symmetrical tip design that allows for easier placement and continual high flows with minimal recirculation, the company says, adding the tip produces a helical, three-dimensional transition of blood entering and leaving the catheter.

VectorFlow joins Teleflex-s Arrow portfolio of infection-protected acute dialysis catheters, which use the company’s exclusive ARROWg+ard technology to provide lasting performance and superior tip placement accuracy, according to the Wayne, Pa., devicemaker.

“The Arrow-Clark VectorFlow catheter continues a series of new product introductions that demonstrate our commitment to enhance patient outcomes and improve ease of use for clinicians," said Linda Beneze, president and general manager of Teleflex’ Specialty Division. — Kellen Owings
