Zyno Medical Gets FDA Clearance, CE Mark for Ambulatory Infusion Pump

October 24, 2014

Zyno Medical plans to launch its Nimbus Ambulatory Infusion Pump in select healthcare facilities this fall, following receipt of FDA 510(k) clearance and a CE mark. The pump is designed to deliver medications and fluids to patient receiving subcutaneous, epidural, perineural and intravenous infusions, the devicemaker said Friday.

The Natick, Mass., devicemaker says Nimbus’ compact size, high level of accuracy and reliability and low cost make it suitable for a variety of healthcare settings.

The pump combines a simple user interface and reliable technology to be used for continuous-rate and patient-controlled analgesia infusions. A carrying case lets the patients administer their infusion therapy in a discrete manner while going about daily activities. — Kellen Owings
