Medical Equipment Solutions Wins Navy Contract for Mobile Imaging Services

January 12, 2015

Miami, Fla.-based Medical Equipment Solutions said Monday that it has received a five-year contract worth more than $2 million to supply mobile imaging services to the U.S. Navy.

The company is certified by the Small Business Administration as a woman-owned small business, making it a favored contracting vehicle amongst federal agencies, MES officials said. The contract — awarded through NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Contracting — continues to validate the firm’s decision to operate as a WOSB, said President and CEO Maria Sandra Pineda.

In addition to the Navy contract, Medical Equipment Solutions sells its products on the government’s electronic ordering system, GSA Advantage. There, government agencies are able to purchase a variety of medical devices including IV pumps, oxygen concentrators, hospital beds and mattresses, examination tables, bandages and wound drainage products, specimen cups and containers, and urinary catheters. — Kellen Owings
