Natus Medical Acquires Global Neuro-Diagnostics

Pleasanton, Calif., devicemaker Natus Medical has acquired Global Neuro-Diagnostics for an undisclosed sum, marking the company’s entry into the neurodiagnostic services market.

GND offers video electroencephalography testing that can be performed at home, in the hospital or in a doctor’s office. The tests record the electrical activity of the brain and are used to diagnose epilepsy and other disorders. The service also provides comprehensive reporting and support to the physician.

Natus President and CEO Jim Hawkins lauded the addition of video neurodiagnostics to the company’s growing service portfolio, saying the company looks forward to offering the service to Natus customers across the U.S.

GND pioneered the service in Texas, bringing in over $7 million in revenues last year. — Kellen Owings
