Actavis Acquires UK’s Largest Generics Supplier

Actavis will become the UK’s largest generics supplier, once its roughly $461 million acquisition of Auden Mckenzie closes in the first quarter of this year.

Auden’s portfolio includes 175 generic and branded products, as well as a pipeline of approximately 40 products across multiple therapeutic areas — making it the single largest supplier of generics in the UK, Actavis says.

Actavis already markets some 650 generic products in the UK, with 85 more under development or authorization review. A merger with Allergan also set to close this quarter will place it in the number three spot for pharmaceuticals in the UK.
