Biotronik Launches Online Tool to Check Device MRI Compatibility

Biotronik has launched its ProMRI System Check, an online tool for determining if a particular pacemaker or implantable device is magnetic resonance-approved.

After choosing their country from the main menu, users input the names of pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators or monitors and leads. The tool then informs them if the devices are MR-conditional, the German devicemaker said. It also provides information on scanning conditions for particular device and lead combinations, and required checks for each device prior to scanning.
