MITA Names New Regulatory and Standards Director

The Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance has hired Megan Hayes to serve as its regulatory and standards director.

Hayes brings to the job experience developing technical standards for MITA’s parent organization, the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, as well as leading technical standards development for the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions and the Consumer Electronics Association.

She will be in charge of efforts to pinpoint performance, quality and safety standards opportunities while encouraging regulators, industry and standards development organizations to adopt existing imaging standards. Hayes will work in tandem with groups like the International Medical Device Regulators Forum. — Jason Scott
