Fluxion Biosciences Launches Circulating Tumor Cell Analysis Kit

Fluxion Biosciences has announced the launch of the IsoFlux EMT enrichment kit, a tool to isolate rare circulating tumor cells from blood samples, the devicemaker announced Friday. Capturing CTCs allows access to tumor material without the need for a surgical biopsy.

The kit is to be used with the company’s IsoFlux system and targets cells with epithelial and mesenchymal properties, the devicemaker says. Fluxion’s systems are designed to provide intuitive, easy-to-use instruments for cell-based analysis.

The company plans to ship the product beginning in the third quarter of 2015. — Jason Scott
