Wright Medical, Tornier to Vote on Merger

Wright Medical and Tornier have scheduled shareholder votes on their pending $3 billion merger for next month, the devicemakers announced last week. If passed, the deal marks the joining of two large-scale orthopedics manufacturers.

Meetings have been set for June 18 at Wright Medical and Tornier’s headquarters in Memphis, TN, and Amsterdam, the Netherlands, respectively.

Wright Medical must sell off certain Tornier assets to get the FTC’s blessing. It expects the deal to close the third quarter of this year. — Jason Scott
