Boston Scientific Launches Precision Novi in EU

June 4, 2015

Boston Scientific has launched the Precision Novi spinal cord stimulation system for chronic pain in Europe, the Marlborough, Mass., devicemaker announced Thursday.

The 16-contact primary cell (non-rechargeable) system is the smallest available on the market, the company claims. The system is also the only primary cell device able to pair with a wireless remote, enabling patients greater flexibility when managing their pain treatment.

The Precision Novi uses 3D neural targeting software that features three-dimensional lead locating, a design component not present in other primary cell systems, the devicemaker adds.

The system is not available for sale in the U.S.
