Toshiba, Merge Healthcare Expand Existing Partnership

Toshiba America Medical Systems and Merge Healthcare have entered into a new strategic partnership, the two companies announced Monday.

Specifically, Toshiba will combine Merge’s cardiology picture archiving and communication systems and hemodynamic monitoring products with its vascular X-ray systems. The firms have an existing partnership lasting more than 15 years.

Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba America Medical Systems offers diagnostic imaging systems, as well as coordinating clinical diagnostic imaging research in the U.S.

Chicago, Ill.-based Merge Healthcare develops imaging, interoperability and clinical systems. — Jason Scott
