Multiplicom Unveils Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia Diagnostic Test

Multiplicom has launched its diagnostic test for chronic lymphocytic leukemia, the most common form of leukemia in adults.

The CLL Mastr Plus kit enables the detection of mutations on nine different genes that serve as indicators of the disease, and allows for customizable, personalized medicine, the Belgian devicemaker said last week.

CLL can be a stable disease, which means the cancer remains the same over a prolonged period. However, at any moment, the disease can progress rapidly, necessitating treatment to halt its development.
