K2M Introduces Mesa Spinal System in U.S. Market

K2M has launched its next-generation Mesa deformity spinal system in the U.S., the Leesburg, Va., devicemaker said last week.

The product reduces the number of surgical steps by half, allows surgeons to use a one-step lock without stress being applied to spine, and features both deformity polyaxial and uniplanar screws, the company says.

Almost 70 surgeries using the new Mesa systems have been completed, K2M claims. The devicemaker received FDA 510(k) clearance in January.  — Jason Scott
