Qiagen, Seegene Forge Infectious Disease Assays Partnership

July 9, 2015

Qiagen has entered into a collaboration with Seegene to develop a menu of multiplex assay panels for its modular automation platform.

Their first project will be developing panels that can profile infectious diseases, Qiagen said Wednesday. Under the terms of the deal, Seegene’s multiplexed polymerase chain reaction analysis technology will be integrated with Qiagen’s QIAsymphony RGQ MDx platform, with Qiagen marketing the assays under its own brand, starting in Europe and Asia.

The Dutch devicemaker Qiagen designs technologies that can isolate and process DNA, RNA and proteins from blood, tissue and other materials.
