NanoVibronix Introduces Hands-Free Ultrasound Device in U.S.

July 10, 2015

NanoVibronix has begun marketing its PainShield MD hands-free ultrasound therapy device in the U.S., following receipt of FDA 510(k) clearance.

The product, which includes a disposable patch connected to a portable reusable driver, administers ultrasound waves for soft tissue healing and pain, all from the comfort of a patient’s own home, the Elmsford, N.Y., devicemaker said Thursday.

The company says trigeminal neuralgia, chronic pelvic pain, tendonitis, musculoskeletal disorders, and post-operative pain, among others, can all be treated using the device.

This is the company’s first FDA-approved device. — Jason Scott
