Carestream Launches Two Radiographic Systems Globally

Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream Health has launched two radiographic imaging systems worldwide, the DRX-Excel and the DRX-Excel Plus.

The systems, which feature a table and tube, rely on an optional integrated flat panel detector to render high-resolution images for general radiography and fluoroscopic sequences, the company said Tuesday.

The devices include a positioning pedal that enables the operator to work hands free, which can be useful during interventional exams.

In the U.S., the DRX-Excel Plus is available, while both models will be available in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

The company is also accepting U.S. orders for its Touch ultrasound systems. — Jason Scott
