Spine Pain Management Gains U.S. Patent for Quad Video HALO

Houston, Texas-based Spine Pain Management said Tuesday that its Quad Video HALO, a video transparency accessory for fluoroscopy devices, has been issued a final patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark office.

The Quad Video HALO technology enables modern video documentation in operating and treatment rooms, integrating multiple views from other operating and treatment imaging sources outside the sterile field, the company says.

Currently undergoing product safety testing set to support CE Mark certification, the devicemaker hopes to launch the product during the third quarter of this year. The company is also pursuing FDA regulatory approval.

Spine Pain Management provides diagnostic services for patients with spinal injuries stemming from traumatic accidents, marketing products to spine surgeons, orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare providers. — Jason Scott
