Zecotek Issued Notice of Allowance for Rear-projection 3D Display

Zecotek Photonics Inc. announced today that that the U.S Patent office has issued a Notice of Allowance related to the Canadian company’s rear-projection 3D display.

A developer of photonics technologies for industrial, healthcare and scientific markets, the British Columbia-based Zecotek has now received patent allowances from the United States, Japan, Europe and Eurasia.

This notice of allowance covers technology that will allow for very large 3D display formats. The new technology miniaturizes the optical components for beam shifting and separates them from the actual 3D screen, while eliminating complications from previous designs.

Zecotek’s glasses-free 3D display system is capable of presenting 2D and 3D images simultaneously, along with separate views at different angles. It also has the feature of constant motion parallax, which eliminates the sense of dizziness during observation. — Michael Cipriano
