Boston Scientific to Market Preventice Solutions Cardiac Devices

Medical device manufacturer Boston Scientific has announced a partnership with mobile health solutions provider Preventice Solutions to exclusively market its cardiac devices. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Preventice’s wearable cardiac monitors, including Holter monitors, cardiac event monitors and mobile cardiac telemetry are connected to software that enables data transmission, surveillance, reporting, interpretation and integration into a healthcare provider’s workflow system.

The company’s portfolio includes the BodyGuardian Remote Monitoring System, which Preventice describes as non-intrusive, wearable body sensor that allows physicians to monitor biometric data.

The system was developed in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic and has been cleared by the FDA for the monitoring of non-lethal arrhythmias in ambulatory patients. —Michael Cipriano
