Arena’s Product Lifecycle Management System Being Adopted by Industry

Arena Solutions, a developer of cloud-based product lifecycle management applications, said Tuesday that its medical device PLM system is being used by more than 100 devicemakers.

The system consolidates all product records and quality documents into one centralized structure, offering easy visibility, team collaboration and long-term tracking of quality resolutions, according to Arena. It also helps to track design changes. Because the Arena PLM is delivered via the cloud, no on-site equipment is needed other than a web browser, the Foster City, Calif., firm adds.

Arena also provides a validation maintenance service offering ongoing release validation against predefined intended uses and complete documentation of validation activities and results. This allows companies to validate products on the same day of release, a timeframe not possible with classical on-premises solutions. — Kellen Owings
