Bruker Introduces Four New Preclinical Imaging Systems

September 4, 2015

Scientific instruments manufacturer Bruker introduced four new preclinical imaging systems at the World Molecular Imaging Congress 2015 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

One of the systems, the Albira Si, is a preclinical PET system that delivers submillimeter spatial resolution across the full radial field of view, increasing the high-resolution field of view significantly compared with traditional PET systems.

The high-sensitivity Xtreme II optical molecular imaging system features a CCD camera that provides new levels of performance during low-light applications such as bioluminescence and Cerenkov imaging, according to Bruker.

The Billerica, Mass., company also unveiled its BioSpec 3T preclinical MRI system featuring cryogen-free magnet technology and accompanying ParaVision 6 software. The software has a user interface that unifies workflow across different modalities, the company says. — Michael Cipriano
