Cantel Medical Acquires Medical Innovations for $79.5 Million

Little Falls, N.J.-based Cantel Medical has acquired Medical Innovations Group Holdings, a provider of endoscope storage and transport systems in the UK and internationally, for $79.5 million.

Cantel will acquire Medical Innovation’s CleanaScope short-term scope transport system, along with its SureStore long-term endoscope storage system.

The products will complement Cantel’s existing portfolio of endoscopy infection prevention and control products.

Cantel President and COO Jorgen Hansen says the purchase will help the company drive additional growth in the UK market, as Medical Innovations has a presence in more than 80 percent of UK hospitals. —Michael Cipriano
