ViewRay Has First International Installation of MRIdian System at Korean Hospital

September 15, 2015

ViewRay has announced the first international installation of its MRIdian System, an MRI-guided radiation therapy system, at Seoul National University Hospital in Korea.

The system is the world’s first and only MRI-guided radiation therapy system that images and treats patients simultaneously, according to the Cleveland, Ohio-based company.

The hospital expects to begin treating patients with the device in the next few weeks, and plans to develop various treatment protocols and publish research.

The system will be used for spine radiosurgery because it can view the spine, spinal cord and adjacent tissue during treatment. — Michael Cipriano
