Biocept Reaches Agreement with Preferred Provider Organizations

Biocept has reached agreements with preferred provider organizations Stratose and Galaxy Health Network, allowing their members network access to its proprietary non-invasive liquid biopsy testing.

According to San Diego, Calif.-based Biocept, the agreement covers more than 12 million members, and gives access to the testing to about 31 million Americans.

Biocept CEO and President Michael Nall says the company’s Target SelectorTM assays utilize a blood sample to provide biomarker analysis to physicians when tissue biopsies are inadequate or the risk to the patient is too high to attempt a surgical procedure. — Michael Cipriano
