Erba Diagnostics Acquires Lumora

Germany-based Erba Diagnostics Mannheim has completed its acquisition of Lumora, provider of molecular diagnostic products for the clinical and industrial markets. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Erba is a global in vitro diagnostics company group companies in America, Europe, Russia and India. The purchase will add Lumora’s molecular diagnostics testing to its portfolio of clinical testing products.

The company says addition of Lumora will help develop molecular testing for emerging country specific diseases such as HIV and dengue. — Michael Cipriano
