Fujifilm SonoSite Receives CE Mark Approval for iViz Ultrasound Platform

Fujifilm SonoSite, a provider of bedside and point-of-care ultrasound tools, has received CE Mark for its iViz platform, which provides clinicians with access to patient vitals and online applications.

The platform integrates with hospital IT and EMR systems to obtain patient demographics and submit reports, according to the Seattle, Wash.-based company.

It also connects with cloud services for sharing studies with remote providers for near-time assessments, increasing the value of ultrasound in clinics in remote villages.

Additionally, the device features a high resolution seven-inch display touchscreen, Wi-Fi capabilities, Bluetooth connectivity and interface ports for USB, HDMI and audio. — Michael Cipriano
