Biocon Launches Insulin Device Manufacturing Facility in India

Biocon, a biopharmaceutical company, has opened a manufacturing facility in Bangalore, India, for the manufacture of insulin devices.
The 100,000 square foot facility comes as part of Biocon’s “Make in India for the World” commitment.
The company also introduced the Basalog One,a pre-filled insulin glargine disposable pen to help patients manage their blood sugar levels more effectively.
The pen, according to Biocon, is light, easy to carry and disposable. It is also virtually pain-free, the company says. — Michael Cipriano
