FDA Approves Precision Spine’s Screw System

FDA has approved Parsippany, N.J.-based Precision Spine’s Reform Modular and HA Coated Pedicle Screw Systems.

The system is designed to provide immobilization and stabilization of spinal segments in addition to acting as an adjunct to fusion in the treatment of acute and chronic instabilities or deformities of the spine.

The system’s screws have a hydroxyapatite coating applied to the threads to increase the  fixation between the screw and the surrounding bone. — Michael Cipriano
