Miracor Launches First Treatments with Picso Impulse System in Asia

Austria-based Miracor Medical Systems has launched its Picso impulse system in Asia, announcing the first treatments with the device of patients in the United Arab Emirates at Al Qassimi Hospital.

The system is designed to improve clinical outcome of patients with impaired cardiac function, specifically those with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and Non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction.

Picso is applied during PCI and designed to intermittently block the coronary sinus. — Michael Cipriano
