Teva Acquires Gecko Health Innovations

Israel-based Teva Pharmaceutical Industries has inked an agreement to acquire Gecko Health Innovations, a company focused on developing software and product solutions for the management of respiratory diseases.

The acquisition will give Teva access to Gecko’s CareTRx, a cloud-based solution that connects patients and caregivers through remote monitoring and real-time adherence tools to simplify chronic respiratory disease management.

Teva says it will seek ways to apply the CareTRx to its existing portfolio of respiratory products to enhance clinical outcomes for patients.
