Lilium Otsuka to Launch Bladder Urine Volume Sensor in Japan

October 2, 2015

Lilium Otsuka will launch its Lilium α-200 bladder urine volume sensor in Japan on Nov. 2.

The device continuously monitors urination schedules in patients who have lost the urge to urinate.

The goal of the product, the company says, is to lessen the need for indwelling bladder catheters and the anxiety of incontinence.

The monitor is expected to improve the quality of life for patients and reduce labor for caregivers, according to Lilium Otsuka. — Michael Cipriano
