EBR Systems Wins CE Mark for Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Device

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based EBR Systems has received CE Mark approval for its Wireless Stimulation Endocardially Technology.

According to the wireless heart stimulation devicemaker, the technology is the only wireless endocardial pacing system in the world for cardiac resynchronization therapy.

The technology utilizes a proprietary wireless system to deliver pacing stimulation directly to the inside of the left ventricle of the heart. It provides a more customized, patient-specific solution, EBR says.

The approval gives the company permission to train physicians in the EU on the use of the system. — Michael Cipriano
