FDA Grants Hitachi Subsidiary Clearance to Market Supria 16-Slice CT System
October 7, 2015
The FDA has granted Hitachi Medical Systems America clearance to market its Supria 16-slice CT system.
The device features a compact design and provides Smart-Dose compliant (XR-29) lower dose radiation exposure, according to the Twinsburg, Ohio-based company.
The system can also comfortably accommodate a wide range of patient sizes, including bariatric patients, Hitachi says. It can be used in a scan room as small as 200 square feet.
