Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Receives CE Mark for Ortho Vision Max

Raritan, N.J.-based Ortho Clinical Diagnostics has received CE Mark clearance for its Ortho Vision Max, a fully automated blood analyzer for high-volume transfusion medicine laboratories.

The launch of Ortho Vision Max follows the 2014 release of the Ortho Vision Analyzer, which is designed for small- to mid-sized transfusion labs.

Ortho Vision Max is built for larger labs, providing greater instrument capacity to increase productivity.  It is designed for labs conducting more than 50 types and screens per day and supports complex procedures such as titrations and reflex tests.

Sales of the system will launch in Europe and Japan in October. — Michael Cipriano
