iTraumaCare Launches Update of Hemorrhage Control System

October 15, 2015

San Antonio, Texas-based iTraumaCare has launched an updated version of its iTClamp hemorrhage control system.

The updated version comes with an improved design that allows for better handling and use, the company says. It offers increased safety through reduced needle exposure for operators and bigger release buttons for efficient handling.

The system can be used to control bleeding in the scalp, neck, extremities, groin and axilla areas. It seals the edges of a wound to create a temporary hematoma under pressure that lessens blood loss until it can be surgically repaired.
