Edwards Lifesciences, BD’s Carefusion Sign Pact

Edwards Lifesciences and Becton Dickinson subsidiary CareFusion agreed to an interoperability agreement focusing on Edwards’ hemodynamic monitoring systems and fluid management algorithms and CareFusion’s Alaris infusion systems.

The focus will be on hydration for moderate- to high-risk surgical patients and will examine any correlation between appropriately hydrated patients and improved outcomes.
