US Medical Innovations Plans Robotic Surgical System

US Medical Innovations filed for patent protection for the Canady Robo surgical systems featuring robotic surgical mini-invasive accessories.

The new system does not require a large console bedside in the operating room or an adjacent room, the company announced. This will allow surgeons to operate the system at the operating table.

Surgical instruments for use with the system will be compatible with single port systems on the market.
