Lucimed Launches Luminette Light Therapy Device in Europe

Belgium-based Lucimed has launched its Luminette light therapy device in Europe, aimed at providing relief from seasonal affective disorder, sleep disorders and circadian rhythm issues.

Luminette is worn like a pair of glasses. It can be worn around the house or at work, and 20 minutes per day is enough to treat and prevent issues during months when sunlight is reduced, the devicemaker says.

The device’s 1,500-lux blue-enriched white light is output from LEDs, which reaches the diffraction lens and stimulates the retina without affecting vision. — Michael Cipriano
