Zecotek Photonics Secures $500,000 Order for Scintillation Crystals

Zecotek Photonics has received a $500,000 order for its Lutetium Fine Silicate scintillation crystals from a China-based positron emission tomography medical imaging device manufacturer.

The Chinese original equipment manufacturer, whose name was not disclosed, placed the order for a new series of PET medical imaging devices. Zecotek notes that the Chinese medical scanning device market is increasing rapidly, particularly with a growing middle class and aging population.
