Roche Launches Ventana HE 600 System

Switzerland-based Roche has launched its Ventana HE 600 system, a hematoxylin and eosin tissue staining system intended to enhance patient and technician safety.

The system brings improved consistency and quality in tissue staining by delivering fresh reagents on each individual slide without relying on user-supplied alcohol and deionized water, according to the company.

Its individual slide staining technology also helps to reduce patient misdiagnosis by lessening the risk of specimen cross-contamination that can occur with other technologies.

The system is now available worldwide, excluding Latin America. It will be available in that region in early 2016. —Michael Cipriano
